Homelessness is never a choice. It is the result of a series of unfortunate events such as debt, inability to pay rent or mortgage, job loss and other unpleasant events.
Wherever they go, the homeless try to find their dream and at least take some rest. They do it in a bush, or on a bench in the park. Seeking out livelihoods, they look for rubbish. Their situation is getting worse every day.
Norman Mc Gilliree had a walk through the empty parking lot when he came up with a brilliant idea to make the unused parking space a homeless resting place. This idea soon spread and became viral on social networks.

The organization started preparing the parking lot, where they received a 2-week trial in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia.
The idea is to have daytime parking spaces used for cars, to be released at night and to make sleeping places for the homeless.
While sleeping with the homeless, the Bedouin organization also provided them with medical care, warm clothing and blankets.

Soon these pictures and this post flashed across social networks, carrying an important message about how we should treat each other.
The first comments came after the trial period:
“Finally a nice dream to have. To rest and to take a shower. I thank the people who did this.”
“Because I’m taking pills, this place came to me like heaven. I can’t hold my tears. I’m happy.”
“I don’t have to watch my back here. I sleep peacefully and calmly”
