Gardens, with constant and proper care, can represent small paradises on Earth. Gardeners, on the other hand, are well aware that this is not an easy task, and weeds are their worst nightmare.
They annihilate the plants and are extremely difficult to eradicate.
However, a professional gardener has decided to share 5 amazing tips
that will help you solve this common problem while also enjoying the
beauty of your garden:
Vinegar contains acetic acid, a powerful natural herbicide, and it draws moisture out of the leaves, but do not spray it anywhere else on the plant.
Pour a kettle or pot of boiling hot water around the crown of the plant to kill the weeds. This will permanently destroy them.
CornmealSprinkle some cornmeal on your plants after they have grown to prevent weed seeds from germinating.
This is the most common and time-tested method. Using a trowel, loosen the soil and then pull the weed out. Wear gardening gloves to prevent seed replacement.
Sprinkle salt on the weeds to dehydrate them. However, don’t use too much of it because it can harm your plants if it disrupts the soil’s balance. You should make a 3:1 salt-to-water solution and sprinkle it only on the weeds.
Use mulch to keep sunlight from reaching the soil and preventing weed seeds from germinating and growing. This will also keep weed seeds from germinating in the soil.
